Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Kinday ("the app", "the service"), operated by Krutika Sogal ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using Kinday, you agree to these Terms.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Kinday. By signing in, you confirm you meet this requirement. If you are entering data about children in your family, you represent that you are their parent or legal guardian.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activity that occurs under it. Kinday uses Google Sign-In — we never store your Google password. Notify us immediately at hello@kinday.ai if you suspect unauthorised access.

Kinday is a family scheduling and organisation tool. It provides:

• Calendar sync and event management
• Shared family to-do lists
• An AI assistant ("Kin") that understands your family's schedule and can take actions on your behalf
• A dedicated family email address (e.g. the-smiths@kinday.ai) for forwarding schedules and newsletters to Kin
• Daily and weekly AI-written notes, weekend suggestions, and a weekly family letter
• Kin's Garden — a private family memory of routines, contacts, and context Kin builds over time

The AI assistant is provided for convenience. It can make mistakes. Do not rely on it for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions.

You own the content you add to Kinday — events, tasks, family member names, and messages to the assistant. By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to store and process that content solely to provide the service to you.

When you forward an email to your family's @kinday.ai address, you are submitting that email's content to be processed by Kin. You should only forward emails you have the right to share. By forwarding an email, you confirm you have appropriate permission to submit its contents to Kinday for the purpose of extracting calendar events.

You agree not to use Kinday to store or share content that is unlawful, harmful, or violates the rights of others.

Kinday offers a free tier and a paid subscription plan (Kinday Plus). New accounts receive a free Plus trial — no card required — which automatically downgrades to the free tier when it ends. Nothing to cancel.

When you choose to subscribe, billing is handled securely via Stripe. Current pricing is shown on the pricing page. You will never be charged without explicit confirmation. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually and may be cancelled at any time from Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods except where required by law.

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. On termination, your data is deleted within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Kinday is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that AI-generated content is accurate. Calendar sync depends on third-party services (Google Calendar) that we do not control.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kinday and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which may be zero for free tier users).

Kin, Kinday's AI assistant, provides suggestions and information for convenience only. It is not a substitute for professional advice of any kind — including medical, legal, financial, childcare, or safety-critical decisions. AI-generated content may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated. We are not liable for any actions taken or decisions made based on AI-generated content.

Calendar sync and scheduling features depend on third-party services (Google Calendar) that we do not control. We are not liable for missed events, incorrect scheduling, or data loss resulting from third-party service failures.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

We may update these Terms. We will notify you by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before significant changes take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
